As the temperature rises in summer, high temperature failure of air compressor is frequent. The following are the various reasons that may lead to the high temperature of the air compressor:
I. Oil and fluid related problems
System oil shortage
Check the oil level of the oil and gas drum, after stopping the machine and relieving the pressure, the oil level of the lubricant should be slightly higher than the high oil level mark H (or MAX) when it is static, and cannot be lower than the low oil level mark L (or MIX) when it is running. Insufficient oil or no oil level requires immediate shutdown for refuelling.
Oil filter malfunction
Clogging and the bypass valve does not open: the compressor oil can not reach the head, resulting in a lack of oil and rapid heating of the host computer, which may seriously burn the screw assembly.
Clogging and small flow rate: Firstly, the heat is not taken away completely so that the temperature rises slowly; secondly, after the unloading of the air compressor, due to the low pressure of the air compressor oil at the time of unloading, it is difficult to pass through the oil filter and the flow rate is small, thus resulting in high temperature.
Abnormal oil regulator
The oil injection volume has been adjusted at the factory, if there is an abnormality, it may be a design problem, and the oil injection volume can be increased appropriately if necessary.
Oil deterioration
If the oil has been used for too long, the fluidity will deteriorate and the heat exchange performance will decrease, which will not be able to take away the heat from the engine head completely, resulting in high temperature.
Lubricant specification and quality problems
Screw machine lubricating oil has strict requirements, can not be used at random, should be subject to the requirements of the equipment specification, otherwise it may affect the normal operation of the machine.
Second, the parts work abnormally
Oil stop valve (oil valve) failure
The valve is a two-point two normally closed solenoid valve, start open, shut down when closed. If it is not opened when loading, the host will rapidly warm up due to lack of oil, and even burn the screw assembly.
Thermal control valve (temperature control valve) failure
Installed in front of the oil cooler, just start the oil temperature is low, the branch is open, the main circuit is closed, the oil is not cooled directly into the head; the temperature rises to 40 ℃ or more gradually closed, the oil flows from the cooler and the branch at the same time; 80 ℃ or more completely shut down, the oil is all cooled by the cooler and then into the head. If the spool thermal spring fatigue, valve body wear, spool jammed or action is not in place, it will lead to the lubricating oil does not go through the cooler directly into the head, the oil temperature can not be reduced and over-temperature.
Oil cooler failure
Water-cooled models, check the temperature difference between the import and export water pipe (normal 5 - 8 ℃, below 5 ℃ may have scaling or clogging), can be solved by removing the heat exchanger cleaning; also need to check the cooling water inlet temperature (should not be more than 35 ℃), water pressure (0.3 - 0.5MPA), the flow rate (not less than 90% of the specified flow rate). Air-cooled models to check the ambient temperature (should not be higher than 40 ℃).
Cooling fan failure (air-cooled models)
Check whether the cooling fan is working properly, if there is a fault need to repair or replace.
Other parts and system problems
Air-cooled unit in and out of the oil temperature difference
The difference between the inlet and outlet oil temperature should be about 10 degrees, less than the value to check whether the radiator surface fins are dirty, corrosion, whether the internal pipeline is dirty and blocked, and clean accordingly.
Problems of exhaust duct (air-cooled models)
There are problems such as too small or too long exhaust ducts, too many bends in the middle, most of the bends are not fitted with extractor fans and the flow rate of the extractor fans is smaller than that of the original cooling fans.
Temperature sensor failure
Completely disconnected equipment will alarm shutdown and display anomalies; poor work is more difficult to detect, can be used to eliminate alternative methods.
Head problem
Air compressor head bearings should be replaced according to the specified time (20000 - 24000 hours), wear and tear will increase the head friction, heat, resulting in high temperatures, serious risk of host holding scrap.
Air filter clogging
It will cause the air compressor to be overloaded, and the long term loading will lead to high temperature, and generally the first manifestation is the reduction of air production.
System pressure is too high
The system pressure has been adjusted in the factory, adjusting too high will increase the load of the machine, triggering the phenomenon of over-temperature and over-current overload, which is mainly manifested in the rise of motor current and protection shutdown.
Clogged oil-air separator
It will cause high internal pressure, high temperature is one of the manifestations, mainly manifested as high internal pressure.
